Bead Story

I attended my first bead jewellery making class at Beadazle on Sat.(13 June). Here are my first 2 piece of assignment: a 3 -tiers necklace and bracelet. Will get Swarovski bead for self practising session. Do anyone know of a good supplier in Klang Valley (PJ/KL)?

Curry Chicken with Bread (Kampar)

We stoped by Kampar while on the way back to KL on 31 May 09, had a late lunch at "Roti Ayam Yau Kee". This is an old shop but enjoy quite a good business, I guess mainly due to its special dishes called "Roti Ayam". For alternative, you may choose to have "herb" filler, but Jason and I still prefer the original "curry" flavour, not very spicy though.

Gathering at MidValley

Long time didn't see Mei Mei and Chee Yan, we have gathering at MidValley. Mei Mei was accompany by her hubby Pang & daughter Yun Ning. Yun Ning is such a lovely girl who already can sing at this age of 2 (baby girl learn thing faster, I guess). Chee Yan's son is called Yu Ran, so adorable, he seems to enjoy the window shopping a lot:).

It was a terrible crowded day at MidValley may be because it was a public holiday, that is why I seldom travel to MidVelly. Anyway, Jason and I bought 4 tickets for the concert of Super Band, which will perform on 1 August. Melissa and Kiat will go with us. Super Band, here we come!

The Last Lecture

I like particularly on this verse shared by Randy Paush:"Brick walls are there for a reason. That give us a chance to show how badly we want something". Unfortunatelly, I am not good at climbing over a brick wall even how low it is:(. Anyway, I think I am mentally tougher now as compared to my teenages years.

Another good concept mentioned in this book is called "head fake". Yes, sometime we will learn or gain some knowledge indirectly thru some incidents. I guess one needs to be obsevant and contemplative enough to be truly benefited from the "head fake".
Imagination is extremly important for a wonderful childhood. Randy remembered that he painted an Elevator door in his parents' house while he was in the high school. The elevator could go up to 6th floor, but in actual fact he was lived in a ranch house, just one level. I remember I also like to paint the wall of my family's old house with color pencils during my childhood. I drew a set of TV on the wall,  there was a male newscaster appeared on the TV screen...My family did not own a TV yet at that time, and I already owned an imaginary TV set which up to my control...wasn't that cool?

P/s: Professor Randy Paush who was dignosed with pancreatic cancer leave his legacy/ wisdom to his beloved family members through this last lecture (he died in 25 July 2008). The contents were so touching and it will benefited us and other generations to come. For more info on The Last Lecture, you may check out from wikipedia as well as youtube.

Delicious Crab Porridge (NT) & Cendol (TPG)

I believe this is the most popular cendol shop in Taiping. Jason and I also like it very much, we will visit this cendol shop whenever we go back to Taiping. Couldn't find any cendol as good as this in KL so far.
Mini Octopus ("Tubor Seng" in Hokkien): a special dish in Nibong Tebal. It doesn't looks good but taste good. For those who have cholestrol problem, better not to over enjoy it!
I wish to enjoy this Famous Crab Porridge since I first visited to Jason's house in 2002, but the restaurant only open at the late evening (till midnight). The Crab Meat is very fresh and the portion is really sufficient. A simple meal (Crab Meat, Mini Octopus and Fruit Juice) for 3 persons only cost us at RM27.00.
